Day of the Dead (Spanish: Día de Muertos) is a Mexican holiday observed throughout Mexico and around the world in other cultures. The holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died.

at a location in the 3rd Ward, downtown Milwaukee.

$125 plus tax

- 20 minute portrait session with Jennifer Birney
- 5 digital images with print release
- 11x14 professional print with an image of your choice from the session (Value $40)
This is great for families, child/children, individual or couples to update their portraits. Choose between a park setting or an urban/industrial setting.

Recent road trip to Washington Island with my family
A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to spend the day with my family on Washington Island, in Door County, WI. We specifically went to the island that day to go to the Fragrant Isle Lavender Farm & Shop. What a fabulous business and farm. If you ever get a chance to visit Washington Island, please make sure to pay them a visit and enjoy the lavender goods they offer. I personally LOVE lavender and fields of lavender. I think I must of lived a past life in the south of France, because there's just a special something about lavender fields and I. Our visit was lovely and while shooting conditions weren't ideal (bright high mid-day sun), we were happy to be there and I was more so happy to share that with my family. A few weeks ago, I had some fun shooting head shot of my daughters. Of all places, these were shot right on the side of our driveway. Sometimes, the least likely location shows a ray of light and to me, that becomes time to play! Enjoy!!
Jillian & Nikola | Engagement
Jillian amd Nikola.
They met in the late 2000's and have had many re-connections throughout the years. They began dating in 2012 and I'm so happy to share Nikola proposed to Jillian in January, 2014 and I couldn't be happier for them!
I personally met Nikola about 4-5 years ago, thru my corporate job as we work for the same company. We became good friends over the years and when he began dating Jill, I just sensed that she was "the one". There's was just something wonderfully different and clearly the magic happened. I've gotten to know Jill a bit since and what a lucky man Nikola is!
They as a couple, myself and my husband all share a common love...LIVE MUSIC! We've had the privilege to share a few great shows together. I was thinking maybe we'd plan their engagement session at a concert venue this summer, but well...it would have interfered with our ability to boogie on down. The locations that we chose for the engagement session were perfect and I hope you all enjoy!
